Our seventh installment of pertinent Resources available Online is presented here. This time the subject is Corrosion and Corrosion Prevention.
Corrosion is the result of the destructive attack of a metal by the environment.

Welded items may be subject to corrosion if not prevented to do so by proper provisions. One should be aware that welding certain materials (Austenitic Stainless Steels, Precipitation hardenable Aluminum Alloys etc.) may reduce or destroy their corrosion resistance qualities.
